Ähnlich wie auf dem Kleid-Foto ist bei den Flip-Flops nicht zu erkennen, ob sie im Schatten oder im Blitzlicht aufgenommen worden sind.

Deshalb ist es auch keine große Überraschung mehr, zu erfahren, dass keine der oben genannten Farbkombinationen auf die Flip-Flops zutrifft. Wie der Hersteller dem Internetportal Buzzfeed bestätigte, sind die Flip-Flops auf dem Bild blau-dunkelblau gefärbt. Eine Twitter-Userin erkannte das falsche Spiel mit einem Handy-Farbtool und ließ den Ersteller des Bildes auffliegen.
