Zuerst einmal muss das Hochzeitskleid gereinigt werden: “Ich habe natürlich mit dem Kleid mal alles mitgewischt, es war der Wischmop von Triest”, verrät Swarovski mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Dazu hat Victoria das Kleid zurück nach Dubai geschickt, wo es bereits angefertigt wurde. Mit einer solchen Luxus-Robe würde man bei der Reinigung um die Ecke auch vermutlich nur auf verzweifelte Blicke treffen. Danach soll das textile Meisterwerk, an dessen Design Victoria übrigens beteiligt war, ausgestellt werden. In welchem Museum das Kleid letztlich zu bewundern sein wird, stehe allerdings noch nicht fest.

Ihr Kleid überzeugt obenrum durch ein transparentes, langärmliges Oberteil, welches mit filigraner Spitze, Blüten und Steinen besetzt ist und elegant das Nötigste bedeckt. Von der schmalen Taille ab geht ein weiter Rock, ebenfalls mit Spitze, Blüten und natürlich zahlreichen Swarovski-Steinen besetzt. 500.000 Stück um genau zu sein.

Das Highlight bildet eine fünf Meter lange Schleppe, die den Rockteil perfekt abschließt und tatsächlich vor der Kirche nochmals angenäht werden musste, denn so hätte es Victoria niemals ins Brautauto geschafft. Bei dem Brautkleid handelt es sich um eine 46 Kilo schwere Sonderanfertigung des Designers “Michael Cinco” aus Dubai. Sein Design steht für auffällige Cinderella-Roben. Ein sehr ähnliches Modell gibt es in seiner Spring/Summer Kollektion – jedoch ohne Stein-Verzierung.
